Brief Introduction

Coupons are one of the best ways to drive traffic, introduce a new product line or help get rid of unwanted inventory. Aren’t these benefits something you would want your vendors to enjoy. With help of WCMp you can allow your vendors some capabilities that can let them add coupons from their dashboard itself. Let’s take a quick look at how we can help.

Overview

With WCMp, Owners/Admin can:

  • Let vendors add, publish and edit coupons from the vendor’s dashboards
  • Handle coupon cost, together with their vendors
  • Keep track of Coupons published.

Add Coupon

To let vendors add coupons from vendor’s Dashboard

  1. Go to Admin Dashboard and then navigate to WCMp menu, from there select the Setting submenu
  2. On the settings page go to the Capabilities tab
  3. Tick the submit coupon option found under the Product Capability section
  4. Now the vendors would be able to add coupons from their dashboard
  5. Once they have added a coupon they can submit it for your approval

If you don’t want to provide your vendors with this capability you can leave the submit coupon option unticked

Note: This option only allows vendors to add coupons. The coupons wouldn’t be available on your site unless published. In order to know how coupons can be published keep reading.

Publish Coupon

As mentioned in the previous discussion by ticking on the submit coupon option you just allow your vendors to add a coupon. If you want the coupon created by the vendor to appear on your site it has to be published. Follow these steps to provide your vendor with the ability to publish his coupons.

  1. Go to Admin Dashboard and then navigate to WCMp menu, from there select the Setting submenu
  2. Once the settings page loads, go to the Capabilities tab
  3. Tick the Publish coupon option found under the product capability section.
  4. Now vendors can directly publish coupons without waiting for your approval.

Alternatively, If you want to check coupon details before it is published you can leave the publish coupon option unmarked. In this case when the vendor submits his coupons you can check for errors, edit if needed or simply read through it. Once satisfied you can publish it on your site.

Note: Pending coupons waiting for your approval would appear on your to-do list found under the WCMp menu. To know more read here

Edit Coupon.

Coupons can be used and reused. Sometimes vendors can reuse existing coupons by making some changes to them for i.e festival offers. For cases like these allow your vendor to edit his coupons. These steps will show how you can do that:

  1. Go to the Admin dashboard and then WCMp menu, from there scroll down to Setting submenu
  2. Once the Setting page loads navigate to Capabilities tab.
  3. Tick on Edit Coupons option found under the Product Capability section
  4. Now your vendors possess the ability to edit published coupons

Alternatively, if you want to stop vendors from editing their coupons once it is published leave the edit options unmarked

Share the Cost of Coupon

Deepen your bonds with your vendors by paying for the cost of the coupon along with him. WCMp offers an option that will let you share the cost of a coupon with your vendor. To see how this works:

  1. Go to the Admin dashboard and then select the WCMp menu
  2. Select Settings submenu found under the WCMp menu
  3. Once the setting page loads go to Payment Tab
  4. On the Payment Tab under What to pay section tick on the Share coupon discount option.
  5. Selecting this option would mean that vendor commission would be calculated after deducting the discount and so you would not have to bear the cost of the coupon by yourself.

Note:To know more about how the coupon discount is calculated read here.
